Christian Education—Adult Bible Study

General Information—Because we believe that learning about God is a lifelong exploration and that Bible stories aren’t just for the Sunday School classroom, we have a number of adult Bible study groups that meet fall, winter, and spring. Groups led by dedicated and experienced facilitators meet Monday evenings and Friday mornings for study, fellowship, and prayer. Studies generally run from 4-8 weeks, and are often preceded by a kickoff potluck where our senior pastor gives us an overview of the study. September sends us “back to school” with a book from the Old Testament. January, the beginning of a new year, is a time for beginning a New Testament book. And in the spring, we have a short topical study on subjects ranging from The Apostles’ Creed to Surprised by Hope. Discussions are lively, and we strive for an atmosphere where everyone participates; but no one dominates. Confirmed teens are welcome to attend, as well as any and all adults, regardless of their membership status. There is generally no cost to participants. Bible studies are a great place to ask questions, get to know people, and gain new insights into the Christian faith. Come and join us, as we “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 3:18)
