The Deacons are collecting food for their upcoming Thanksgiving (Saturday, Nov. 21st) and Christmas (Saturday, Dec. 19th) food pickup days as well as help us keep the Community Cupboard stocked with food. On these dates about 30 families in need will be picking up bags of food at the church to take home with them. To help collect the food needed for these key dates, the Deacons will be in the church parking lot on the below dates and times to collect non-perishable food donations from people willing to donate.
Food Drop Off Dates and Times:
THIS Saturday, Nov. 7th from 11am – 1pm
Saturday, Nov. 14th from 11am – 1pm
Saturday, Dec. 5th from 11am – 1pm
Saturday, Dec. 12th from 11am – 1pm
 
ITEMS NEEDED: Yams, cranberry sauce, soup, cereal, pancake or waffle mix, peanut butter and jelly, mac and cheese, pasta and spaghetti sauce, dried potato mix, dried rice mix, canned tuna and chicken, mixed vegetables, canned fruit, apple sauce, baked beans, and brownie or cake mix.
You can also continue to place food items in the bin outside the back parking lot entrance, Door 6, Monday-Friday between 9 a.m.-4 p.m. When possible please try to contribute items in plastic containers instead of glass so they can be used in the Community Cupboard. To assist the Deacons in their food inventory, please do not place any items in the cupboard.
