Have you been longing to sing? The congregation has been longing to hear you. Because nothing heals and restores like music, the first chancel choir rehearsal will be Thursday, September 9, 6-7:15 p.m. in the choir room. While leadership continues the search for our next choir director, Sandy Main-Niemisto will be working with Chancel Choir.

Attention bell ringers! We’re back. It’s going to be a fun year. Jason Elstone and Sandy Main-Niemisto will co-direct adult bells. Jason will direct the first half of the year and Sandy will ring. They will switch places the second half  of the year. Rehearsals will remain on Thursdays, in Youth Hall, 7:30-8;30, beginning September 16. For those who ring and also enjoy singing, there will be no overlap with Chancel Choir, whose rehearsal time will be 6-7:15 p.m.

Ever wish you could read music? Play chimes or hand bells? Beginning Sunday, October 3, from noon-1:00 p.m., Sandy Main-Niemisto will begin a new chime group for non-music readers. While this group is formed in response to adults who have expressed interest in this opportunity, students 5th grade and up are also invited to join. Location within the building is TBD.
