Dear Rosedale Family ~

After much prayer, information-gathering, and conversation, the Pastors and Staff have made the very difficult decision of closing down the church building for the next week, including this Sunday’s worship.  All activities, studies and meetings for this coming week are canceled.  As partners with the City of Livonia we are following their lead in regards to taking steps in playing our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Please note, we are unaware of anyone within the Rosedale community who has been infected, so these measures are simply precautionary and not reactionary.

While the regular business of the church has temporarily ceased, our priority is still serving Jesus and his people of this congregation and our surrounding community. As always, your pastors remain available to you for prayer, counseling, and comfort, especially in these days of isolation and uncertainty. You are our priority and we are here for you. Please don’t hesitate to call as we will still be working throughout the week.

Additionally, as we are a Mission Station, we will also be offering our services to anyone who has needs that have been exacerbated by this pandemic. If you or anyone you know could use assistance with running errands, please let us help. If you or anyone you know is experiencing financial difficulties due to this crisis, please let us help.  We will assist in any way we can as long as our resources allow. If you are someone who wishes to be of assistance to others during this time, please let us know.

We will continue to daily monitor this ever-changing situation closely and will continue to stay in contact with you. This coming Sunday morning, we invite you to join the Pastors online to worship together even though we are apart. More information will follow.

For this moment, we leave you with these words of comfort from St. Paul as a reminder – “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

We proclaim this truth that despite being physically separated from one another, it is Christ and his love that continues to bind us together as one church. And now we live into our words … we go together.
